Beginner Tracker
Beginner Tracker�is a full�1 day course�on basic man-tracking�professionally instructed by�Terry Grant.� Learn the basic skills he has used over many years to Track His Prey!
If you�have an �interest in Search and Rescue (SAR), hunting, outdoor life including�camping and hiking�or just experiencing and applying �the primitive skills used by our ancestors, this introductory level course is for you.��It will give you a taste for the ancient art and science of animal tracking and human tracking (man-tracking) which can be applied to various civilian (personal), law enforcement or military applications.
Beginner Tracker is�suitable�for�individuals of all ages, groups�and specialty organizations who want to learn the basics skills. It is also the first level of training required if you wish to continue on to other advanced mantracking courses.
In this 1�day�course you will learn how to:
Use a tracking stick
Work as a team (Hasty Team)
Mark and preserve tracks then find the next one
Recognize and follow�different types of sign
Track recognition – is it human or animal
Recognize prints on various types of terrain
Identify shoe styles
Tracker etiquette
and more!� Terry�tends to cover alot of ground!
A typical Schedule for this course:
9-noon- Outdoor Tracking
noon-1pm Break for Lunch
1pm – 5pm Exercise and fieldwork
At the end of the day, you will take home a “Beginner Tracker – Certificate of Completion”� certified by Mr. Terry Grant.
